Disclosure Day, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Emily Blunt, follows weather reporter Margaret Fairchild and AI operator Dr. Daniel Kellner, portrayed by Josh O’Connor, as they uncover secrets and plan to expose a 75-year-old UFO cover-up that extends beyond the boundaries of the United States government.
This high-energy, fast-paced sci-fi film opens with the exchange of life-changing contents hidden within a backpack. This moment sets the tone for an adventure filled with questions, revelations, and eye-opening truths.
This film had a little bit of everything. From spectacular Indiana Jones-style action sequences to thrilling X-Files-inspired moments, it kept audiences engaged from beginning to end.
The storyline focused on familiar UFO themes while making strong connections to the Ancient Astronaut Theory.
The main cast held the story together with strong performances. The visual effects were captivating, and the computer-generated imagery was clean, realistic, and authentic in its presentation.
Overall, this was a good film with a strong story, solid acting, and impressive visuals that draw you in. I am not sure whether this is intended to be a standalone film or the beginning of a larger franchise, but I hope it makes a lot of noise at the box office.
If you are a fan of, or a believer in, the Ancient Astronaut Theory, then this movie is for you.
Wonder Woman 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig is the second installment in the Wonder Woman Film Franchise. This film focuses on how Diana tries to deal with the devesting loss of her one true love, Steve Trevor, while she attempts to find balance in other aspects of her life. As Diana faces her grief, she encounters a darkness that is unleashed upon the world that threatens humanity’s survival. Diana’s choices and the choices that others make around her have a domino effect upon Diana.
Warning: Spoilers Below:
I must say that Gal Gadot is an amazing actress and I love her in her role as Wonder Woman. Kristen Wiig, as Barbara Minerva, did a fantastic job playing the female antagonist. Both women were great in this film. They had a lot of great scenes together and had great chemistry.
The main problem with this film was the overall storyline and score: The writing was so disconnected from the time, and the story did not cohesively connect to Diana. The opening scene takes place in a Mall, and I felt like Wonder Woman taking on a mall robbery was more appropriate for Spiderman (excuse the Universe crossover) but Wonder Woman in a mall saving people is beneath her and her abilities.)
The whole concept centered around Max Lord could have been done in a more creative and balanced manner. I liked Pedro Pascal as the villain, but the idea of him consuming the powers of an ancient stone could have turned into one of the greatest superhero good versus evil concepts ever written. The movie fell so flat on so many levels with the writing aspect. I also felt that the directing was a bit disconnected. When people watch this film, or at least when I anticipated watching this film, I came in with the same high expectations that the first Wonder Women film and the Justice League films created and delivered.
I must admit that I was disappointed.
If you are going to put a year in the title of a film, then you better be prepared to present aspects of score and cinematography in a way that transports your audience to that time. The mall scene looked like a mall from the ’80s but I can’t recall any other important components that would bring me to that time. As an 80’s kid, I wanted to feel those happy feelings and see those sights that would bring me back there. This film missed the mark big time, especially with the music. The music in a movie is responsible for the entire mood of a movie. It brings emotions, magic, connections; it is the last puzzle that connects all the other pieces together and unfortunately WW84 did not deliver that.
I have mixed feelings about the fashion. Gal and Kristen’s costumes were amazing! I loved everything that was presented in the film with those two. Even Steven Trevor’s costumes looked good, (they did try too hard with his wardrobe changes. I even loved Diana’s armor. I just had a problem with the fact that Diana should have had that armor when she and her Justice League colleagues battled Steppenwolf. The use of the armor did not seem to fit the situation she was in.
Overall, I gave this movie three stars for my loyalty to Gal and the Wonder Woman Franchise. It’s worth watching since WW3 is in the works, as well as additional Justice League Franchise films. I just hope that they upgrade their writing team for the future.

Everyone starts their day just like any other day. You get up, get ready and head out for work. You say your goodbyes to your husband or wife kissing them before you part ways. You hug your son and daughter and wait for them to go into the elementary School building. The commute was not too bad. You also had the chance to stop to get a cup of coffee to jump-start your day and you even walked into the office a little early. The morning is officially in full swing. Sitting at your desk, the radio is down low and the computer is on. The steaming cup of French Roast coffee hits the spot on this cool Fall morning. A coworker stops over to your desk to say Hello. The two of you get carried away into a deep conversation. Then suddenly a news flash on the radio and on the internet floods the communication lines. Something major has happened. People are reporting sightings that THE DEAD NOW ROAMS THE EARTH! People gather in various areas of the office to talk about the reports. No one really knows whats going on. Some don’t even believe it. The Boss has alerted everyone that something is going on and all business, schools and other public places are now on official lock down. Fear settles in. Your first instinct is to pick up the phone, but there is no dial tone. Reaching for your cell phone you make an attempt to call your child’s school and then your husband or wife. Nothing. The internet is working so you try to communicate with your loved ones via online chat. As of now most of your family is doing ok. The school has not responded to any forms of communication. Worrying about your children increases. CNN and Fox news reports that no one is allowed on the streets because it is too dangerous. The Government has stepped in to try to gain control of the situation out on the streets. Any non infected civilians will be shot on sight if spotted on the streets. This is a global matter. You cant reach your children, or your significant other. It is forbidden to go outside. No one really knows what is out there or how long communication on the internet will last. The office does not have proper food, water, medication and other supplies for any type of long-term stay. So many thoughts surge through your mind. Are you going to try to wait it out? Or will you risk your life going out in a Zombie ridden world to gather your family? And even if you do and survive where can you go that is safe? The City is the most dangerous place to be in…..
The controversial mentally disturbing horror “Human Centipede-The Second Sequence will have you scarred for life. As a horror fanatic that goes as far back as the original Christopher Lee classics, I really thought this was a movie that I could surly handle. Directed by Tom Six and starring unknown Laurence R. Harvy the shocking film is not for the faint of heart or really any normal human being. This intense movie opens with a London Parking attendant named Martin actually watching the DVD of the first film. As the end credits run across the laptop screen the lost cries of a baby linger in the distance. He opens a large book that appears to be some kind of movie scrap book with movie info, photos and even notes. Martin has been carrying this inspirational torch for the Human Centipede movie for some time and eventually fixes his mind to do the unthinkable.
As a strangely disturbed individual his crazy attitude and sheltered shyness, not to mention his thirst for blood is the result of molestation, abuse and possible torture by his father as a child. Martin goes on a killing spree. The rage of his killing goes on and on as he continues to maintain his job. Soon he finds himself collecting an array of people to become his “work of art.” The demented non human then proceeds to construct the insect that he has grown to love in a twisted way by using humans as his medium. Unlike the first movie the psycho was a Doctor. So he atleast had the medical background to do what he did (which still does not say much.) Martain has no medical background at all, but still tries to make the centipede. With his captured victims, including a pregnant mother,(I could not believe that!) a neighboor from his building and the surviving actress from the first film, the visuals that Six uses will leave a traumatizing mark on you.
It is hard to believe that someone can be this creative or crazy to write and direct a movie like this. Human Centipede The Second Sequence is for sure the most disterbing horror movie I have ever seen. This movie will make Saw, Hostal and Pieces seem like Disney movies! I must give the lead actor his props. He should be nonimated for a Horror movie award. Laurence R. Harvy may not have had a speaking role but believe me he was intensly scary with his on screen performance. Just his eyes alone gave off an extremly haunting feeling.
For those fans who love gore and graffic viloence and believe you can handle the madness of Human Centipede-The Second Sequence, then by all means, go check it out on Comcast Demand or a Theather Near you. I can not give this movie a rating, It is beyond ratings. Just a quick note, do not watch the movie right before you go to bed!!!!!! WARNING YOU MAY HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!
The Paramount produced Paranormal Activity 3 hit theaters officially Midnight on October twenty-first. Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman the paranormal theatrical film had horror movie goers on the edge of their seats. The prequel introduced the real origins of how the lives of two sisters have been turned upside down due to unexplained supernatural events. The recovered video footage is set in a rural town in 1988. Strange occurences begin after a recording for a kinky love-making tape goes awry and an earthquake shakes things up in the house. Both girls Katie and Kristi are a few years apart and for the most part share everything. Katie starts communicating with an imaginary friend name Toby. Kristi is a little more disconnected from the entity until he begins to grow violent towards her. Activity in the house increases. While the intensity that the directors deliver through the script and camera shots, the audience is suspicious of any and everything. The unique shots also create an eerie feeling that draws the audience in. The girl’s mother is in complete denial about what is happening but at the same time the live in Boyfriend feels the urge to get everything on tape.
Fully aware of what is happening around him Dennis(the boyfriend) shows some of his footage to a colleague. The colleague is open to the activity. But it is not until he is face to face with a major supernatural encounter that scares him so much that he is willing to risk his job over it. The events escalate to the point where the girls mom is made aware of the dark presence. She and the family flee to her mother’s house where things just get weirder by the minute. The climax of the movie is defiantly a shocker that you can expect from the franchise. The fast moving film ties lots of loose ends together that were hanging in Paranormal Activity and the sequel.
I expect that there will be at least one more alternate ending for the film because there are a few clips from the trailer that did not even appear in the final production edit. If you are looking for a good movie that will scare you this Halloween season then Paranormal Activity 3 is the movie for you. I give this movie four stars.
