Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Sadie Sink, follows a lonely, heartbroken Spider-Man as he navigates the aftermath of his life-altering decision to make everyone forget him.

This adrenaline-spiked, thrill-seeking film takes you on a journey deep into Peter Parker’s heart.

Spider-Man manages to keep the city safe despite the many challenges he faces, until a new unseen threat surfaces to destroy everyone in its path. Spider-Man seeks help from some of the Avengers while establishing an alliance with the unlikely hero, Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.

As Spider-Man attempts to battle yet another villain, he struggles to keep his personal promise to stay distant from his two best friends, MJ and Ned. In the process, he discovers that he is changing—evolving into something more.

Peter Parker/Spider-Man realizes that he must embrace his weaknesses in order to build upon his strengths and abilities.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is one of the best Spider-Man franchise films to date. The action and fight scenes display a fluid vision of grace, beauty, and creative innovation.

The special and visual effects present a strikingly realistic quality that allows moviegoers to feel like they are part of Spider-Man’s mirage of experiences.

Despite everything we see Spider-Man/Peter Parker go through, Brand New Day ultimately leads to the introduction of Jean Grey. Instead of answering questions and revealing truths related to the Multiverse, we are left with even more questions.

Overall, the plot sequence is strong enough to leave fans wanting more.

Once again, Tom Holland delivers a stellar performance as the young superhero battles and overcomes his emotional and physical challenges.

Zendaya and the supporting cast help hold the film together, while appearances by the Avengers tighten the universe’s storyline.

The vault of villains is impressive, while Jon Bernthal’s portrayal of The Punisher does not disappoint as a heroic counterpart. The chemistry between Spider-Man and The Punisher makes for an entertaining partnership throughout the film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fun, action-packed sequel filled with reality-bending visuals, thrilling action scenes, and emotionally captivating storytelling.

I gave this film 5 stars!

Captain America: Brave New World, directed by Julius Onah and starring Anthony Mackie (Wilson), Harrison Ford (President Ross), and Danny Ramirez (Torres), is the first major standalone film with Sam Wilson at the helm as Captain America. With Steve Roger’s passing on the Shield, Sam finds himself entangled in a world close to the President as the American government attempts to repair the fractured fragments of a society recovering from the global catastrophe caused by Thanos. Despite the efforts of the Avengers, a new terrorist rises to wreak havoc as Captain America is marked as the primary target.

President Ross proposes reestablishing the Avengers with the hope of making America and the world safer. Sam is unsure how to process this request. However, he teams up with sick kick Torres (played by Ramirez) to neutralize multiple threats, including President Ross.

This Captain America film was a great introduction to Marvel‘s Phase 5. The storytelling was on point and provided a nice continuation of the events in The Hulk and its sequel, The Incredible Hulk. Harrison Ford as President Ross was legendary, and the supporting cast added to the action-packed adventure. The special effects were amazing, and the action scenes, along with the fight sequences, were spectacular. The blending of Captain America and Falcon was done with creative grace, while Anthony Mackie’s portrayal of the hero was thrilling to see on screen. The sheer athleticism that Mackie demonstrates is worthy of this level within the Marvel Universe, and it is clearly evident that the franchise is in no way ready to fizzle out. The fire is still blazing, and Marvel is still hailed as number 1, in my opinion.

This movie is a must-see. Marvel fans will have a blast!

I gave this movie 5 stars.

Infinity war poster

Beware Spoilers Below!!

Avengers: Infinity War produced and distributed by Marvel Studios, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and starring Robert Downy Jr. was a cinematic spectacle. The movie also stars a host of Hollywood’s elite actors, such as  Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch,  Chadwick Boseman, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlette Johanson, Josh Brolin, Danai Gurira and so many more! The movie is basically a continuation of the events that occurred in Thor Ragnorok and begins to tie the events from the previous Avenger movies as well as the other movies within the Marvel Universe. The movie follows Thanos’ quest to  rule the Universe as he inquires all six of the Infinity Stones. At this point, everyone knows that he is successful in his rise to power. As the Avengers, Guardians and other Marvel Superheros band together to stop the carnage, there are many losses that are difficult to bare.  Don’t’ worry,  my Marvel research has revealed that all is not lost and that good will still triumph over evil. According to my sources, the Avengers and other beloved characters will be resurrected by new Superheros in the Marvel Universe.

I was so excited to see this movie that after I left the theater I couldn’t sleep. It was such a thrill ride. It was amazing. The script was great, all of the actors came together to create such a balance. They did a wonderful job in building and maintaining great chemistry. We had the chance to go into the lives of characters that we have only seen on the battlefield. The personal connections that each character had, was believable and what I loved about this, is that even though every character looked different, or came from a different culture or race; they all shared a common goal and came together to work as a team to help save the Universe. They embraced each other’s differences and unique abilities to help each other.   The special effects exuded the high standards of what Marvel represents in cinema. The mood of the film changed with the events and the experiences of the characters. This movie is worth seeing a second time, so if you can go see it again, do it. Even if you don’t follow the comics you are not alone and won’t feel overwhelmed. There is nothing bad that I can say about this movie, but I will say, that I don’t ever remember coming across a villain that is as dark as Thanos. Who could be worse? I do have Negan on my mind but what do you think?

I gave the Avenger’s Infinity War 5 stars for overall Greatness!

I can’t wait for Infinity War part 2!!
