Well Winter break is over, and I am still getting used to the idea of being back at work. While I was off I finished my third round of re reads and edits. Now I going for a fourth round. My original editor went up on her price just as I was ready to submit my manuscript which put a strain on my finances. I had to make changes on my original editing plans. Meanwhile I am still working on my PR strategies in addition to planning so many other aspects of book promotion. I had to push back my release date, so now “Swept into the Darkness” book one will be released in March. That is not long, but I was hoping that it would already be officially part of the published books world. The deeper I get into this, the more I really understand that it is extremely difficult to do everything on your own. The new thing for me is trying to find reviewers that only review Ebooks since my paperback will not be released until way later. That has been quite a challenge for me. I stumbled upon a site that has a list of e-book reviewer so as soon as I finish with this I will check out those sources. I already have one professional that will be reviewing my book, which really put me in a good mood earlier today. I will continue to post updates as I reach my goals.
Happy Reading and Writing
LL.
Congrats on your book. It’s a long road, but so worth it in my opinion. In response to your search for reviewers, I have a list on my blog’s sidebar (about a quarter of the way down) of indie friendly book bloggers, most if not all will review ebooks. Also, if you’re looking for a good/affordable editor, I’ll be happy to give you the info on the one I use. Good luck!
Hi Stephany, Thanks for the help. I will check out your blog for that info. That is awesome that you have a list of ebook reviewers. And I would love the info of the editor that you use. It’s nice to do business with people that are recommendend by others in the business. Thanks again for everything I will be in touch!!
Congrats. I’m in a similar boat. I recently published (e-book form) a vampire/fantasy book (Drasmyr) and now am in the process of trying to figure out how to publicize it. So far, I feel like a fish out of water. Anyway, good luck to you and your efforts.
Thank you and congrats on your book as well. Don’t feel like a fish out of water. Make a list of goals and take each step at at time. Start off with an official book announcement to let people know about your book. Good Luck and once you do more research about publishing the more you will learn. Its hard doing it on own own but the efforts will be rewarding as time goes on. Take care!
Good luck LaTaeya !
Congrats LaTaeya! Keep on Truckin!
